Todd, I've got an idea for a video. First aid kits. Comparing 25, 50, and 100 person kits, focusing on portable kits, not permanently installed types. What do they come with, value for money, the variety of items the kit comes with, how the kit is organized (easy to get to what you need? All piled together?), how durable is the kit, and what certifications does it meet? Stores like HD, Ace, Tractor S, Menards, Walmart all first aid kits. Thanks Todd!

Have never used pure ATF in place of engine oil. We , meaning my brother and I as well as several other people I have known, Have used around 10-20% of Dextron III. Added to engine oil as a extra detergent , and it does work very well. Give it a try and you will see. Dextron III and Acetone mixed up 50/50 also works well as penatrating oil.

Damn. I was hoping to secure a 1 inch exhause nipple to my 80cc motor that the bolt holes stripped out of. I filled the holes and put new bolts in, but I wanted to wrap it on with JB Weld Extreme Heat so it never comes off again. Doesn't seem like it will work.

In Minnesota and other road salt states, rust is the determining factor for when to stop putting money into a vehicle. That Suburban here would likely be unsafe due to rust, and those repairs would've involved a lot larger hammer. The body work? That'd take a year. Only stay because there are no poisonous snakes in northern MN.🤣

I'd water inject an engine to clean out the scummy deposits left by turbo direct injecting a gas engine. Gearheads will do it for performance though. Because water will scavenge heat back into the chamber where it belongs. Need to have good rings for that though. Also it's more like a quart of hundred proof an hour at 2-4k rpms or more under load. In a 2-4l / 4-6 cylinder.

Not related to kitchen Knives but I really think you should do a series on 3D printers and how they can be a useful tool to have in the Shop/home. Start off by finding out which printers are ideal for the price, then do a video on which material (filament) has the best overall properties, then a what prints are useful. I think this would be a major hit as it gets the typical crowd and you pull in the 3d printing crowd too with your phenomenal test methods.

It's not the oil pressure that determines if the engine wears or not, it is the oil layer between the metal surfaces. That means that lower oil pressure is not an indication that it should wear faster, as long as the lower oil pressure is due to the lower viscosity.

I have a 04 Denali with the 6.0 and did a lot of the same repairs. The Trans filter is kind of a pain as you have to remove all the exhaust hangers and use a board across the frame and ratchet strap the exhaust downward to clear the pan. It still is a very tight fit and I bent the shifter bracket to clear the edge of the pan as well. Ive had good luck with the new transmaxx Walmart fluid but used to use dextron 6. I rebuilt the front diff myself. Probably should have done a video on that as I did it without the proper tools and measured the back lash by loosening all the diff bolts and moving the adjuster by hand then retighten, Over and over till I got the correct.06 ish thousandth if I remember correct. My fan cluch was so tight I built a tool to hold the pulley as it would only turn with the belt even with extra tension on the belt. Rear air ride went out but I had replaced the shocks to I adapted a 1/8 hard line with shrader valve. Reused the factory dual orings on each line, slid them on. Used a soldering iron to flatten the ends of the lines to simulate the factory line. Used a small drill to open the line back up. That will hold the Orings on and keep the line from shooting back off. I use 110psi in the factory bags most of the time for max towing . I cut the large wire the the ride control computer in the back just under the rear AC panel. Reset the battery no more ride control light which is nice as well. Also already had the HD springs to replace the soft factory springs but that was not enough. I used the 40A from the ride control wiring to ad extra LED bars front and rear. That rear panel over it don't remove the seats just the back bag hanger hook and pop the the back pillar panel and speaker and pry the panel out. Just flex the whole panel out its enough to cut that wire. Its a very long panel. I did Moog parts on the pitman arm and idler. Hopefully it lasts. It was a bit loose at 122k when I got it and did the cheap ebay parts. They were already looser than the factory parts after 5k and a waist of time and money. Buy once cry once. Your daytime running lamps are probably burned out as well. Nobody seems to notice those as they only function if you are in gear. Use parking break to check. I think I used DEx 6 in the transfer case but haven't had any issues. I am only at 131k now and finnally added some Freon almost a full can as cooling but getting bad on long stops but still cooling good while driving. The read system I think steal coolant from the front and will function at lower pressures and was still cooling nice while the front was weak on very hot days at idle. I havent done the upper and lower ball joints or any wheel bearings yet but sure thants coming. Its nice they are so easy even with AWD for 4WD on the trucks on the front. My rear calipers were tight last time I did the rear brakes and pushed and in anyway and run it. BAd idea. Was smoking almost immediately. Just put new rear calipers on. The rears where original I think. Truck had 121k when I got it 10 years ago. Only use it for towing and now that its a beater will probably use it 5k a year now. LOL. Average MPG is 6.4 right now over the last 3k miles. I enjoyed the video to much LOL. Brought back all those repair memories.
